Who can access the recorded meeting by default?
By default, the person who invited Sembly to the meeting is the owner of the recording and has edit access to it in Sembly.
However, others may also have access, depending on their relationship to the meeting:
- If a meeting participant also has a Sembly account, they automatically receive edit access to the recording.
- If a participant does not have a Sembly account, they will not have access to the recording unless you manually share it with them through the guest access link. However, once the participants create a Sembly account, they will receive edit access to the meeting.
What about my manager or team members?
There are several ways you can share a meeting with other people with Sembly accounts:
Calendar Invite Method
If you’d like your teammate to access a meeting, simply add them to the calendar invite. They don’t need to join the call - as long as they are on the invite, the meeting will appear in their Sembly account once it's processed.Manual Sharing
Your teammate can manually share individual meetings with you (or vice versa).-
Create a Collection
You can group specific meetings into Collections and share them with other members of your workspace at once.
-
Manager View Access
Enterprise customers can assign a manager or add other teammates to their meetings with Manager View access—details are provided in this article.
Can I share the meeting with someone outside Sembly?
Yes! You can share your meeting with anyone, even if they don’t have a Sembly account, by sharing a Guest Link.
