Cancellation of a paid subscription
Should you decide to stop your monthly payments, you can cancel your subscription to either of paid Sembly plans.
You can cancel your subscription in billing settings. Your plan benefits will be active until the end of the period you paid for. After, your account will be switched to Sembly Personal.
If you click the Activity item in the list, the diarization automatically scrolls to the relevant point in the meeting with a highlighted activity. |
If you change your paid plan to Sembly Personal in the middle of the billing cycle, you will lose unlimited meeting recordings, and other privileges given in the paid plans. You can claim back the unused days. For more information, reach out to support. |
- Click the gear icon on the bottom-left of the window next to your profile picture, dive into Settings and select Billing

Click on the "Manage" button
- Afterwards, click Cancel Subscription
- In a pop-up, specify the cancellation reason
- Confirm your decision. The cancellation is automatic. Your plan benefits will stay active until the end of the paid month
Cancellation during the free trial
If you are not willing to purchase one of the paid plans, you can deactivate your trial before it ends. Below, we will list how you can cancel the trial before the charges are made.
- Cancel the subscription in billing settings. The instructions are above on this page. Your account will be downgraded to Sembly Personal after the rest of the trial expire.
- Delete account. If you don't feel like keeping using Sembly at all, you can remove your account, and your subscription will be automatically canceled.

If you have already received your first invoice and declined the payment through your bank, changing to Sembly Personal will not prevent the system from attempting to collect the payment again. If you forget to cancel your trial before the first invoice that you declined, please contact us in order to complete the cancellation. |
About cancellation:
- The subscription automatically renews unless you cancel it.
- If you wish to cancel your payments in the middle of the billing month, your subscription will stay active until the next payment cycle. We do not refund the monthly subscription fee after it is purchased. We can only cancel your monthly payments. If you need to stop your payments, please, cancel before the next cycle. Read more here.
- If you change your paid plan to Sembly Personal in the middle of the billing month, your plan benefits will be frozen.
- After cancellation, you can record only 4 meetings per month in Sembly Personal. Should you need the right to unlimited meetings returned to you, activate your subscription again by selecting one of the paid plans.
- You can change to Sembly Personal if you want to use basic Sembly features free of charge. Check out the list of features that Sembly Personal offers in the Plans section.
- As you cancel your paid subscription, your past invoices will be removed.

Sembly will not stop joining your meetings once you unsubscribe or switch to a Personal plan. With a connected calendar, Sembly will join meetings within Personal plan limits. To stop Sembly from attending, you need to disconnect your calendar in settings. |
How to renew the subscription
If you wish to renew your subscription before your current benefits end, simply send us an email at support@sembly.ai with your request. On the other hand, if your benefits have already ended and you want to resubscribe, you simply should click "Renew Subscription" in the pop-up message inside your account.
