One of the options to start a meeting with Sembly is inviting agent@sembly.ai like you would invite any other participant in your calendar. Use it if you do not wish to connect Sembly with your calendars. After sending the invite, Sembly will join your meeting as a participant at the scheduled time.
With meeting details, Sembly receives a list of meeting attendees who will get automatic access to edit the meeting in Sembly if registered. Later on, when the meeting is complete, you can assign each attendee if they weren't automatically identified. |
Sembly agent joins Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Zoom calls. With these conference call providers, ensure your meeting invite includes a URL.

Steps below are the guide to invite:
- Create a new meeting in your calendar using one of the above conference call providers, ensuring there is a URL in the description of the invite
- Add Sembly agent@sembly.ai to the list of participants, just as you would for any other meeting invite. Important: invite should be sent with exactly the same e-mail as registered or aliased in Sembly!
- Click Send
- In a minute, a nearly created invite will appear in your Sembly account with a Will Attend status. If the meeting is missing in Sembly for more than several minutes, check your mailbox for the error message. Follow the instructions in the email to fix the invite or message support support@sembly.ai if you need further help
- Join your meeting at the scheduled time. Sembly will announce itself upon joining the meeting chat (if you didn't switch off the messages)
Calendar Invite Checklist
To make sure Sembly attends your meeting on time, double-check each of these items below in your meeting invite:
- The invite sent to agent@sembly.ai should come from the same email registered or aliased in your Sembly account, including accurate capitalization. For example ("user.name@mail.com" vs "User.Name@mail.com").
- Double-check your invite date and time - Sembly will attend based on the time of the invite. If a meeting is rescheduled, ensure an invitation to agent@sembly.ai is re-sent.
- Verify the invite went to Sembly by checking the list of meetings. If invited correctly, the meeting will appear on the list.
- Adjust the language settings in your Sembly Meetings list if necessary. Please be aware that these adjustments will solely impact the specific meeting and will not modify the overall workspace settings.
- When it’s time to start the meeting, start on time. Sembly will join as scheduled. Do not forget to admit Sembly if you are using a waiting room feature.
