An Artifact is an AI-generated document that provides a structured and detailed response based on meeting content available in your account. It can be generated in various file formats, making it easy to share and use for documentation and follow-ups.
You can pick and choose specific meetings whose content should be used for generating the document or set up a time range from which context should be extracted. Each user can generate up to 40 artifacts each month.
The artifacts are generated automatically if the request is recognized as an artifact prompt. Or, you can add a few meetings and initially build your request by asking Semblian to create, for example, a meeting summary as a document.
The difference between an artifact and a standard response is based on the complexity and nature of the request:
- Artifacts: Generated when professional documents such as project plans, proposals, comparison tables, meeting summaries, contracts, and reports are needed.
- Answers: Provided when a simple response or clarification is sufficient.
Use Cases
Sales Proposal from Meetings
Imagine you are a salesperson working on an important opportunity in your pipeline. You’ve had multiple meetings with a potential client and need to create a sales proposal based on those discussions.
You can add all relevant meetings and request an artifact that compiles key points from these conversations. Simply enter a prompt asking Semblian to generate a document summarizing the most critical aspects of your meetings. You can choose to provide a detailed request or keep it simple, depending on how much depth you need in your document.
Comparing Job Candidates for Hiring Decisions
You are an HR professional responsible for hiring a new team member. You’ve conducted three interviews with different candidates and need to provide a report to the hiring manager outlining which candidates best fit the job requirements.
You can add all three interview meetings and request an artifact that generates a candidate comparison document. This document can include pros and cons for each candidate, key skills, relevant experience, and any notable questions or concerns raised during the interviews.
Enter a prompt that asks Semblian to compare the candidates and structure the document at your preferred level of detail.
The size of the Artifact
You can fine-tune the document's length through precise prompt input (prompt engineering).
- Short Artifacts: Concise summaries or brief reports that highlight key points.
- Long Artifacts: Comprehensive documents that provide in-depth analysis and structured details.
Generating an Artifact
After you submit your request to Semblian, it may take a moment for the AI to process it. During this stage, Semblian gathers relevant data and context from your meetings and prepares the requested artifact. You’ll be able to visually track the generation progress, and if needed, you can stop the process at any time.
If you interrupt the artifact generation, you can easily resume it later. Simply click the Regenerate button, and Semblian will continue processing your request and deliver the final artifact.
Modifying an Artifact
Make sure to use artifacts wisely, and review each artifact before sending them out into the wild! AI can make mistakes and requires moderation. You can refine artifacts by providing additional instructions. This includes:
- Adjusting the level of detail
- Reformatting the structure
- Including or excluding specific content
The new artifact will be generated from scratch, so details that weren't requested to be edited may also be adjusted by the AI since it's a new document.
Chat Customization
You can add meetings or insights to include specific context in your document. To add data, click "+" sign on the left of the prompt field.
To get the desired outcome of Semblian 2.0 responses, you can adjust the time period and data that will be used to generate either a reply or an artifact. More about customization can be found in this article.
Downloading an Artifact
Artifacts can be downloaded for offline use or sharing. You can select the preferred format in the upper-left corner of the document (DOCX, PDF, HTML, Markdown). Click Copy content if you don't want to download a file and just copy and paste it to your files.
