Sembly now supports calendar events that contain more than one meeting link. If a calendar event includes multiple valid conference links (for example, one auto-generated link and another added later in the description), you can choose which link the Sembly Agent should join.
This helps ensure the Sembly Agent joins the correct meeting when links are changed or added after the event was created.
How does multi-link detection work?
When Sembly syncs your calendar event, it scans for recognized meeting links in:
- The video conference field (e.g., Google Meet, Microsoft Teams)
- The description
- The location field
If more than one valid link is found, all detected links will appear in the meeting details inside My Meetings.
You can add one link to each of the sections and Sembly will be able to detect it.
How do I select the correct meeting link?
- Go to My Meetings.
- Scroll to the relevant meeting.
- If multiple links are detected, you will see a dropdown list of available links.
- Select the link you want the Sembly Agent to use.
- The Agent will join the selected meeting link.
This selection ensures the Agent connects to the same meeting location as your participants.
When would I need to change the link?
You may need to select a different link if:
- The meeting platform was changed after the event was created.
- A new link was added in the description.
- The default conference link is not the one participants are using.
- Multiple links were accidentally included in the event.
If participants are joining a different link than the default one, selecting the correct link ensures proper recording.
